Lakkos - The Horned Child

by Tash Trebuchet

/

lyrics

Healing my heart, I feel empty inside.
Forgive me for the time I’ve wasted, ‘cause I wanted to ignite my fire.
Through the hollow hills chased by the peppermint man, I remind myself of my destiny and draw him as an edible friend.

I call the Watchers forth. Ember, earth, fire, ice. I call the Horned Child towards the tree of life.

I watch the google-box, then the lights go dim. I see a shadow of another girl and you falling at her feet. I traced around my hand, and I drew of you sitting in your den. As I drew your beard, your lips drew me in. Chased by the peppermint man, I remind myself to stay strong so I draw him as something I can put in my mouth. I remind myself I’m strong. I remind myself, stay strong.

I call the Watchers forth. I call the Horned Child. I’ve walked a million miles, with the desert on my tongue where Sufis swirl.
